If you struggle with fear, anxiety, dread, you’re not alone. Anxiety disorders are a major health problem in America. Fear steals. It steals our joy. It keeps us from moving forward in progress. It steals our purpose. It brings about torment.

Freedom from fear means to not let the fear control us. We will never completely be rid of fear. If we are trying to bypass what fears us, often times we create more angst for ourselves by avoidance.

Depending on life circumstances, there may be something that we are dealing with that brings about a feeling of fear. Typically new opportunities can bring about new level of concern.

For most who know me, I am not a technology fan although I understand its benefits and have learned to embrace them regularly. For those of you who love technology, you may not be able to relate to this, but I bet you know someone like this. A parent, a friend or someone you care about.
You might experience fear of imperfection, fear of rejection, fear of things not going your way, fear of losing a relationship. The list is many on the different kinds of fears. It’s not about avoiding them. It’s about facing them-learning how to confront them. I got a friend to train me about technology which has helped empower me to progress forward and face that fear.

The more you confront your fear no matter what you feel, the more the fear will lessen in your life. The more you give in to fear, the more we let it control us. Courage is when we keep moving forward, making forward progress while you still feel afraid. It’s up to us to learn how to face that fear, to press forward and jump into the midst of fear.

God’s word speaks directly to these concerns. The real Healer has invited us to cast all our anxieties on Him because he cares for us (I Peter 5:7). He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) We can be confident in that He will meet all our needs according to His riches in Glory. (Philippians 4:19). Life is not easy, but God has equipped us.

We can feel afraid, but we don’t have to BE afraid. Learn how to do the hard things with Him.
